Tim Nguyen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist dedicated to helping adults maintain the physical capacity necessary for lifelong independence.

His clinical practice combines orthopedic rehabilitation, healthy aging principles, strength development, balance training, and preventative care to help individuals move confidently through every stage of life.

Tim created Reframe Aging after recognizing that many physical limitations commonly attributed to aging are often influenced by factors that can be addressed through evidence-informed intervention, education, and consistent movement.

Outside of clinical practice, Tim mentors local physical therapy students, develops community education programs, explores responsible applications of technology in healthcare, and continues advanced training in orthopedics, geriatrics, vestibular rehabilitation, and healthy aging.

Philosophy

Why Reframe Aging?

Most conversations around aging focus on decline. Reframe Aging is built on a different perspective.

Aging is inevitable. Loss of independence is not.

Many people do not lose independence simply because they get older. They lose independence when the physical demands of life exceed their physical capacity.

Reframe Aging focuses on preserving the strength, mobility, balance, resilience, and confidence needed to continue doing what matters most.

The Capacity Principle

Build enough reserve to keep life expansive.

Walking through an airport, getting up from the floor, carrying groceries, traveling with family, navigating uneven ground, recovering from illness, and staying active in the community all require physical reserve. Reframe Aging exists to help people understand, build, and maintain that reserve.

Assess

Understand current movement, strength, mobility, balance, and functional capacity.

Build

Develop the physical foundations needed to improve resilience and reduce future limitations.

Maintain

Create sustainable habits and strategies that support lifelong independence.
