Recovery
Restoring function after injury, illness, or surgery — with the goal of returning to and surpassing prior capacity.
Reframe Aging is a Denver physical therapy and healthy aging platform led by Tim Nguyen, PT, DPT, GCS — helping adults build the strength, balance, mobility, and resilience to keep doing what matters. From fall prevention and back pain to recovery after surgery, the work centers on one idea: aging is inevitable, but loss of capacity is not.

Capacity is your ability to meet the physical demands of life — walking through an airport, getting up from the floor, carrying groceries, bouncing back from being sick. Most of what gets blamed on aging is really the result of sitting still for too long, without anyone stepping in early to change course.
The goal is not simply to live longer. It is to maintain the capacity to keep doing what matters most — on your own terms, for as long as possible.
Ten everyday markers of physical capacity. A meaningful change in any of them within six months warrants attention — not because decline is inevitable, but because early identification changes outcomes.
The Annual Capacity Assessment is the yearly checkup for what your body can actually do — strength, mobility, balance, and long-term function.
Learn about the Annual Capacity AssessmentWhether you have a specific problem to solve or want to invest ahead of one, the work starts in one of three places.
A yearly visit for strength, mobility, balance & function.
A measured picture of where you stand, and a plan for the year ahead.
A thorough evaluation for a specific injury or limitation, with ongoing treatment to follow.
A focused conversation for a specific question about fall risk, exercise, or fit.
A board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist whose work spans outpatient orthopedics, hospital-based rehabilitation, home health, skilled nursing, and memory care — and the story of why that path led to Reframe Aging.
Read Tim’s storyMost clinical care engages with aging reactively — after the fall, after the diagnosis. Reframe Aging supports individuals across the full spectrum. Most practices stop at recovery. This one doesn’t.
