Recovery
Restoring function after injury, illness, or surgery — with the goal of returning to and surpassing prior capacity.
Reframe Aging is a Denver physical therapy and healthy aging platform led by Tim Nguyen, PT, DPT, GCS — helping adults build the strength, balance, mobility, and resilience to keep doing what matters. From fall recovery and back pain to preparation for the decades ahead, the work centers on one idea: aging is inevitable, but decline is not predetermined.

Capacity is your ability to meet the physical demands of life — walking through an airport, getting up from the floor, carrying groceries, bouncing back from being sick. What gets blamed on age alone often reflects a more changeable mix of strength, activity, health, confidence, and environment.
The useful question is not only, “How strong are you?” It is, “Strong enough for the suitcase, the stairs, the floor, and the trip you still want to take?”
The goal is not simply to live longer. It is to maintain the capacity to keep doing what matters most — on your own terms, for as long as possible.
Ten everyday markers of physical capacity. A change in any of them is worth a closer look — not because decline is inevitable, but because change is easier to address when it is noticed early.
The Annual Capacity Assessment is the yearly checkup for what your body can actually do — strength, mobility, balance, and long-term function.

A focused conversation for a specific question about fall risk, exercise, or fit.
A board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist whose work spans outpatient orthopedics, hospital-based rehabilitation, home health, skilled nursing, and memory care — and the story of why that path led to Reframe Aging.
Read Tim’s storyMost clinical care engages with aging reactively — after the fall, after the diagnosis. Reframe Aging supports individuals across the full spectrum. Most practices stop at recovery. This one doesn’t.
